Gouverneur Kinsbergencentrum (GKC)

What does the GKC do?

The GKC acts as a bridge between education and the labour market, between science and the work floor and between healthcare and the world outside. The GKC is also dedicated to improving working conditions for healthcare professionals. It is a network organisation that supports, accelerates and disseminates innovations in and around the healthcare industry.

You can learn more about our activities by consulting our 2022 annual report (dutch) or reading our article in the December 2022 edition of Viewz.

For whom?

The centre’s work is targeted towards educational and healthcare institutions as well as local authorities.

The GKC is focussed on these 3 pillars:

  • Learning differently: developing hybrid learning environments and encouraging life-long learning in the healthcare sector;
  • Working differently: innovating service delivery processes, the organisation of labour and technological development;
  • Attracting: appealing to new target groups by creating a positive image.

The GKC collaborates with different partners

The GKC works closely with different partners both outside and inside the province of Antwerp to make a durable impact on healthcare with regard to learning, working, enterprising and innovating.

The GKC collaborates with:

  • educational and knowledge institutions
  • professional associations
  • local authorities
  • (home) healthcare organisations
